Age of Wonders III will release on March 31, Triumph Studios announced today. It's now available to pre-order on Steam and GOG, and doing so will grant you access to the Elven Resurgence scenario, a callback to the series' origins that takes place in the Heartwood Forest.
Accompanying the announcement is a new trailer, highlighting each of the six leader classes--Sorcerer, Warlord, Theocrat, Rogue, Archdruid, and Dreadnought--alongside glimpses of gameplay.
In a recent hands-on of the beta, IGN noted that this fantasy franchise is more aligned with Total War than Civilization, and said that it may need to improve its pacing to keep up on those terms.
