Jamie Foxx and Kevin Hart in Talks to Star in Black Phantom

Jamie Foxx and Kevin Hart are both in talks to star in an upcoming film titled Black Phantom.

Though it may sound like a superhero movie, Variety reports it would be focused on a hitman. The killer has been betrayed and goes to the Black Phantom - the hitman hired to take him out - for assistance. Sounds like enough double-crossing to make your head spin.

Will Packer is set to produce, and he's been wanting to move the project into the next stage for a while. Sony's Screen Gems acquired it back in 2009, but it's never gained the necessary forward momentum. But given Packer and Hart's success with their recent hit Ride Along, the timing might be just right. The director of Ride Along, Tim Story, is also in talks for Black Phantom. (You may also remember him for his Fantastic Four duology.)

There aren't specifics yet as to which roles Foxx and Hart will play. Foxx has more experience with straight action movies, so it seems likely that he would portray the Black Phantom. Only time will tell.
