Is Lando Calrissian -- ace pilot, slick gambler, Cloud City's Baron Administrator -- his galaxy's greatest dancer?! We'll find out, as Billy Dee Williams has been announced as a contestant on the latest season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars.
Considering the relationship between corporate siblings ABC and (its parent company) Disney, this makes for a great opportunity to name drop Star Wars: Episode VII -- coming from the Disney-owned Lucasfilm -- on the reality TV series, especially for a harder-to-sell demographic. However, despite recent reports, Williams has not yet been confirmed to appear in the film.
Williams joins new contestants Sean Avery, Candace Cameron Bure, Drew Carey, Meryl Davis, Nene Leakes, James Marslow, Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper!), Diana Nyad, Amy Purdy, Cody Simpson and Charlie White. Season 18 of Dancing with the Stars premieres Monday, March 17 at 8pm ET.
While Williams' presence as Lando is still a mystery, Star Wars: Episode VII opens December 18, 2015.
