Well, here's something you don't see every day. We announced recently that MMO PlanetSide 2 would be receiving a new continent soon; today, we've learned that the development of said continent will be watchable by players via Twitch.
Community manager Tony Jones, writing on the PlanetSide 2 blog, says that players will be able to watch as developers work on "the layers of complex design behind Hossin’s environment and bases."
Each Tuesday at 3pm PT, you'll get to watch a new session of live game design on PlanetSide 2's Twitch channel. The first session begins March 11, and each session will showcase a different developer from the team.
Here's the full schedule:
- March 11 – Hossin Environment Art with Devin “$1.99 Taco Combo” Lafontaine
- March 18 – Hossin Base Design with Xander Clauss
- March 25 – Hossin Base Design with David “Malron” Bennett
- April 1 – Hossin Base Design with Adam “Arclegger” Clegg
The new continent, Hossin, is due to arrive in May, alongside lots of other new content. From next month, players of Sony Online Entertainment titles will be able to sign up for a new All Access subscription for US$15 a month.
