Logitech Debuts Wireless Harmony Smart Keyboard for Xbox One and More

With Microsoft's Xbox One February update adding support for keyboard text entry, it was only a matter of time before compatible hardware arrived. Today, Logitech introduced the Harmony Smart Keyboard — a wireless keyboard designed to be used with 225,000 different devices, including the Xbox One, PS3, Apple TV, Roku, and more.

The Harmony Smart Keyboard features fullsized keys with buttons mapped to both PlayStation- and Xbox-gamepad controls, as well as an integrated trackpad and mouse buttons. For those with cable or satellite TV, there are integrated DVR controls, as well as the expected array of playback commands.

Each unit ships with a Logitech Harmony Hub, which accepts commands from both the Harmony Smart Keyboard or any Android or iOS-based device using the Harmony app to control any device in your entertainment center. Since the system works over Wi-Fi, users are no longer limited by infrared line of sight, allowing the Smart Keyboard or a mobile device to issue commands from anywhere within range of their Wi-Fi network — and, perhaps most importantly, even when components are hidden away.

The Logitech Harmony Smart Keyboard launches this month for $149.99.
