Sony has confirmed elements of PlayStation Network will be taken down for five hours today in order for maintenance to be carried out.
A post on the PlayStation Forums reveals that the PS Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will all be unavailable between 8.30am and 2pm PT, 11.30am and 5pm ET, and 4.30pm and 10pm GMT. If you've signed into PSN since March 6, you'll still be able to play online multiplayer and use third-party apps like Netflix during this period.
Sony has the following advice: “In order to access online game play and partner apps during this routine maintenance, we ask that you please sign in to the network prior to Monday, March 10th.”
