Coffee Stain Studios is planning an April 1 release date for Goat Simulator on Steam.
Described as "The world's dumbest game" by its creators, Goat Simulator went viral as alpha footage on YouTube in early February. As of press time, the YouTube video is nearing 3 million views. The response motivated Coffee Stain to announce a full version for steam.
The game's title pretty much tells it all: players control a goat as it traverses environments damaging property and causing trouble. The alpha gameplay depicts a goat climbing a constructing tower and getting creamed by vehicles. Goat Simulator will support Steam Workshop, allowing players to create their own goats, missions, levels and more.
A press release said the first playable version of Goat Simulator will be available at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco starting March 17. A pre-order is currently available for $10 USD, providing game access three days before its official release.
