Konami Digital Entertainment Names its New President

Konami Digital Entertainment has today announced that Tomohiro Uesugi has taken on the role of the company's President.

Uesugi was promoted from his previous role of Executive Vice President for Konami Digital Entertainment, which he took on in 2013. Prior to his career in video games, Uesugi worked at Sanyo, a major Japanese electronics company.

In a press release, Uesugi states that he has a "deep respect for our community of fans" which will inform his goal of heading up "even deeper and more enjoyable experiences" for Konami's consumers.

Former president Tomoyuki Tsuboi is returning to Japan to work in Konami's finance vision.

Konami Digital Entertainment acts as the Japanese development and publishing branch of Konami as a whole. As its new head, Uesugi will be overseeing franchises such as Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, and Castlevania.

Konami released the so-so Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 last week, which we revealed yesterday might already have some DLC in store.
