Bryan Singer, who is currently finishing post-production work on X-Men: Days of Future Past, has been tapped to direct Battle Creek. The upcoming CBS series comes from House creator David Shore and Breaking Bad Creator Vince Gilligan. All three will serve as executive producers on the show along with Mark Johnson.
Battle Creek is shaping up to be something of a House reunion: Singer directed the pilot for Shore's series, and Kal Penn, who starred on House for two seasons, was recently cast in the new drama.
Per Deadline, “The straight-to-series project, written by Gilligan and Shore, centers on Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI agent Milton Chamberlain, who have different worldviews but are teamed up to clean up the semi-mean streets of Battle Creek, MI.”
