Warframe's Massive PS4 Update Launches Air-Based Zephyr

Digital Extremes' free-to-play, third-person co-op shooter Warframe received the mammoth Update 12: Zephyr Rises today on PlayStation 4.

The marquee addition in Zephyr Rises is the eponymous warframe, specializing in aerial maneuvers and attacks from above. Similarly, Interception missions have made their way into the rotation in this patch, tasking you with seizing and holding key structures.

You can find the full finger-cramping list of fixes, changes, tweaks, alterations and additions right here.

Warframe launched free-to-play on PC last year, which we found to be genuinely fun. After Sony pursued the title, a PlayStation 4 version launched eight months later.

However, Sony's console-exclusive claim to the title could soon come to an end, as reports of an Xbox One version in the works have begun to surface. Digital Extremes said last year it would consider bringing the title to Xbox One in light of Microsoft's self-publishing initiative.
